Since 1968, VOLA has held a unique place in Danish design. Originally designed by Arne Jacobsen, its iconic taps are defined by architectural restraint, craftsmanship, precision engineering and a modular system that changed how a tap could be designed, specified and lived with. Its values run through the company: craft, clarity and long-term thinking, with every product made in Denmark and designed to be repaired, adapted and supported over time.
As the design landscape has become faster and louder, we saw an opportunity to reassert what had always made VOLA different: not by chasing contemporary attention, but by bringing warmth to its iconic modernism and expressing the brand’s enduring relevance in a more human, grounded and emotionally resonant way. Rather than responding to the faster-moving language of trends, we took a long-term view, strengthening the quieter, more enduring principles that have always shaped the brand. Through a campaign-led realignment of positioning, messaging and art direction, and collaborations with leading international architects and designers including Norm Architects, Studioilse and OEO Studio, we helped VOLA continue to move at its own pace, building a wider culture around that shared sensibility and giving clearer expression to its poignant sense of longevity.
